At the beginning of June I had the pleasure to receive eight Dutch IT entrepreneurs in our BWise office on Broadway in New York. Their visit was part of a boot camp organized by the Dutch Consulate General (http://ny.the-netherlands.org) for Dutch IT entrepreneurs who have the ambition to become a successful IT firm in New York's "silicon alley." It was nice to share my story as the CEO of BWise over the period of 2004-2013 and all the developments, challenges and great achievements we have faced in those years.
I really enjoyed sharing my experiences with this group and answering all their questions about being a Dutch company in New York. New York is more and more becoming an attractive city for IT and software companies. This is an especially exciting development for the Dutch entrepreneurs and an easier step to the American continent. Not just due to New York's Dutch heritage, but also because of the more convenient time differences and the great environment that the city of New York has created.
And remember: If you can make it in New York, you can make it anywhere
