Too Dangerous to Ignore: 3rd Party Risk and Anti-Bribery & Corruption
Recently, I read several news stories about large companies exposed to dangerous security breaches from working with third parties, leaving their customers vulnerable to identify theft and potential financial loss. This expresses it is crucial to establish policies, procedures, and controls to monitor and detect these risks. It is important that governance, audit, risk, and compliance professionals understand the current challenges they are facing, the ever changing regulations, and what can be done to improve their current processes.
Effective 3rd Party Management and Anti-Bribery & Corruption
Earlier this month, we hosted a series of GRC workshops with GRC 20/20's Michael Rasmussen on Effective 3rd Party Management and Anti-Bribery & Corruption at the Nasdaq Headquarters in New York. With his extended GRC expertise, Michael provided insight on the latest regulatory issues, the importance of properly management and how their peers were addressing them. There was a lot of interest from the attendees of various sized companies, industries and roles, all recognizing these day-to-day issues.
As a follow up of this interesting workshop I'm, together with my colleague's organizing a series of webinars in October and November. The webinars will be conducted as a two-part series; the first set will be on the Latest Trends in 3rd Party Management and Anti-Bribery & Corruption, which I will interview Michael Rasmussen. We will discuss the current risks companies are facing, how companies are dealing with these issues, and how technology can play a role in monitoring and prevention. The second set of webinars, which will be held in November, where the Nasdaq BWise team and I will show you How to utilize an eGRC Platform to Effectively Manage 3rd Party Risk and Anti-Corruption, and will feature a demonstration of the related BWise solution. I am extending an invitation to all of you who are responsible for creating and maintaining third party risk and anti-bribery programs to join these webinars, please visit the registration page.
