BWise in Leaders Quadrant for Enterprise GRC Platforms by Independent Analyst Firm
New York, NY and ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, October 18, 2010 – BWise, the leading provider of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Management platforms, announced today that it is positioned in the Leaders Quadrant for Enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance (EGRC) Platforms in Gartner’s October 13 2010 report by French Caldwell. Eighteen companies were selected and positioned within the report. All the companies selected were evaluated based on "ability to execute” and “completeness of vision."
According to the report
The Gartner Magic Quadrant report states, “With the proliferation of regulations and concerns over corporate governance and transparency, ERM is seen by many regulators and business leaders as a strategic approach to achieve improved corporate governance, more transparency in the decision making of the board and senior executives, and improved performance against business objectives.”
The report goes on to state, “The EGRC platform market derives from the need for many entities to improve the oversight of corporate governance — including financial reporting compliance, enterprise risk management (ERM) and related audits. Many organizations also want to consolidate other GRC activities into a common platform. Therefore, an EGRC platform must solve the immediate GRC management (GRCM) needs associated with corporate governance and also enable an enterprise to pursue future consolidation and integration of a diverse set of GRC activities.”
BWise positioned as a Leader
Luc Brandts, Founder and CTO of BWise, said, “The entire team at BWise is very proud to have been recognized and positioned as a leader in Gartner’s Magic quadrant for Enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance Platforms. We believe our placement in the leaders quadrant is a testimony of the value we deliver to our customers with our process-based approach. All of the team at BWise works diligently to continually improve and enhance the BWise GRC platform to comply with market needs. It is very satisfying when all that work and effort culminates in this kind of recognition. The BWise team will continue to meticulously work on developing the platform’s broad capabilities in risk management, process management and analysis, compliance, IT GRC, policy management and audit.”
Think big, start small
Robert Pijselman, CEO of BWise, said, "Our sole focus on GRC pays off with strong implementations and a continuously growing global client base. Based on the experience with our global customers, we have developed a best practice methodology to consolidate all GRC activities in one EGRC platform and obtain business performance improvements. The key success factors are to think big by having a clear broad vision on GRC and start small by focusing on those GRC activities where the biggest need is identified and where the enterprise can realize a success as soon as possible. In addition, BWise customers can take advantage of the GRC vendor's experience in multiple industries as a benchmark for successful implementations. The recognition of these efforts from Gartner, as a leader in the Magic Quadrant report, is very flattering and gratifying."
